Pandora’s BoxX Project is a photographic portrait archive built through direct engagement with artists, curators, writers, historians, educators, dealers, and cultural practitioners whose work has shaped the art world from the 1960s to the present.
These women are not merely witnesses to art history—they are its authors.

HOW THE PORTRAITS ARE MADE
Built one encounter at a time.
Each portrait is made in the sitter’s home, studio, or another space connected to their life and work, using available light. Conversation comes first. The portrait is complete only when photographer and sitter both recognize the person in the image.
